Living Colour is an experiential two-day workshop exploring colour as a living, relational phenomenon.

Drawing upon the colour research of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Rudolf Steiner, the painting methodology of Gerard Wagner, and Deanne Eccles' own Body Sense Perception and Response methodology, participants will encounter colour through observation, sensory experience, movement, gesture and painting.

Across the weekend we will explore how colour affects perception, mood and movement; how colours change in relationship with one another; and how form can emerge through colour rather than being predetermined.

Participants will work with prisms, coloured lenses, embodied colour and gesture exercises, practical colour experiments and painting, culminating in the development of a substantial individual artwork across the two days.

Suitable for teachers, artists and those interested in developing a deeper experiential relationship with colour and perception.
